The SIKLAB 2017 last October 4-7, 2017, after the mass presided by Fr. Jessie P. Pasquin, DCC and the highly anticipated Hogwarts parade, had a sunny-rainy opening ceremony which actually didn’t weaken the momentum but even made it one of the best intramural to remember most especially the cosplay and mass dance contests. The fireworks even continued further intensifying excitement for the following days’ contests.
Indoor and outdoor games marked the beginning of the second day. The day’s highlight was the Pasiklaban which included the popular Spoken Word Poetry, the expressive Dance Duo, the grandiose Disney-themed Theatrical Lip-Sync and the extreme invigorating Step-Up competitions.
After the one-time Hataw in the morning, the Search for Mr. & Ms. SIKLAB, with its unwithering prestige, took place on the third day as the different houses namely, the Slytherin, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Gryffindor of Hogwarts cheered for their champions. Of all the houses, the Ravenclaw and Gryffindor hoisted their banners high towards the end.
The students saved their energy for the culminating clashing event of the last day of SIKLAB – the Battle of the Bands followed by the awarding ceremony for the success of all events. Overall, SIKLAB 2017 proves NDTC’s growing excellence.
