NDTC Personnel Reflected on the Vocation of the Laity in Their Annual Retreat

Slide1

The NDTC personnel spent a few days at Rivier Retreat House in Catalunan Grande, Davao City for their annual retreat last August 21-23, 2014.  The retreat facilitators focused their inputs on the theme “Vocation of the Laity: Life of Holiness in the World”.  Rev. Fr. Jude G. Villa, DCC, the School Chaplain and Director for General Services gave the first and second conferences which centered on Christifideles Laici – a Post-Synodal Document on the Laity.  He emphasized the role and place of the laity not only in the Church but also and most especially in the world.  The third and fourth conferences were given by Rev. Fr. Arnold L. Fuentes, DCC, the Executive Assistant to the President.   Fr. Fuentes tackled in these conferences the CBCP Pastoral Exhortation for the 2014 Year of the Laity.  Rev. Fr. Jessie P. Pasquin, DCC, the School President gave the final conference to synthesize the whole retreat and to challenge the NDTC personnel to earnestly fulfill their vocation as laity in the context of their families and the NDTC community.

The retreat was truly an opportune time for the personnel “to rest with God, to eat with God, and most especially to pray with God.”
