Troops welcome new scouts

To welcome new scouts in the troops, Notre Dame of Tacurong College held an investiture Ceremony for the Grade 1 girls to welcome them in the star scout and for Grade 4 boys and girls to welcome them in Boy and Girl scouts respectively. The ceremony was conducted at NDTC ground; October 8 lasted for 3 hours from 1 pm.

The ceremony was started by an opening prayer led by Juana Luz Guillano followed by the Singing of the Philippine National anthem conducted by Char Maria Alonzo. Selected boy scouts were assigned in handling the flag rising. Mr. Wilter c. Friales afterwards gave the rationale of the activity. He gave the importance of the celebration and the value of involvement of the pupils in scouting in their life in general.

Madam Nila s. Torno, the grade School principal was the investing officer who initiated the pinning for the star and girl scouts. Together with her are the different girl scouts troop leaders namely Ms. Rea Montano, Ms. Lorlie Mae Gulmatico, Mrs. Eufemia B. Porque and Ms. Suzanne Rose Sepanton. The parents of the pupils star and girls’ scouts were also present for the tying of the neckerchief and imposition of the cap.

Mr. Armando Santibanez, former Boy Scout coordinator, initiated the investiture ceremony for the Boy Scout.  Together with him are the different troop leaders namely Mrs. Lelibeth, Mrs. Nelly Refuerzo, Mrs. Roselyn Refuerzo, Mr. Anthony Landero and Mr. Wilter c. Friales. The same with the Girl Scout, the parents of the grade 4 boys were also present to tie the neckerchief of the newly invested scouts.
