GS JOURNALISTS INVADE DSPC ‘10

Six journalists  from the Notre Dame of Tacurong College- Grade School department bagged gold medals during the 2010 Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) at New Isabela Central School, Tacurong City, October 2

NDTC – GS journalists topped this year’s DSPC having won 13 awards over 14 different events in Filipino and English category plus the broadcasting both English and Filipino which won second place. Yegor Lousie Barroquillo and Vince Dignadice championed in editorial writing English and Filipino category respectively. Shaina Martina Yap and Mark Neil Cordero championed in Sports writing English and Filipino respectively. Char Marie Alonzo won the championship in Feature writing- Filipino while Merhella Amor Mendoza fared third for English. Leomer Von Paray bagged championship in copy reading- Filipino while his classmate Deanne Angelica T. Larroza placed second. Ma. Pilar Sentina won third in news writng English. Both Jason Galicia and KriztheeAstillero ranked four in Editorial cartooning Filipino and English category respectively. Jill Duco won second in Photojournalism- Filipino and Angela Grace Gravador fared fourth in Filipno- photojournalism.

Aside from the individual awards, the Grade School’s journalists also brought home second place for Radio Broadcasting both in English and Filipino. Broadcasters for English were Jerick Jai Braza, Jerey Pasok, Leanna Bumatay, Meilanie Bumatay- Goda, Medeleinne Elloso, Jacob De Cilis and Frances Nicole Kabugatan who was also awarded as Best anchor. Filipino broadcasters are Mark Daryl Ledesma, Hector Arellano, Alyssa Lucero, Bianca Menrige, Merielle Leigh Lechonsito and Jerex Pasok.

Thirteen winners of the different individual events will represent the division of Tacurong City to this year’s Regional Schools Press Conference.
