Admission Policies
The Notre Dame of Tacurong College opens its doors to whoever wants to seek Christian education and is willing to undergo training geared towards total development of himself. Once admitted, the student will become part of an educational program that will give him training within the context of the Vision-Mission of the College and as sanctioned by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
Admission to the College is a privilege, hence, the school reserves the right at any time to admit/readmit/refuse any enrollee through the following general guidelines:
1. One who wishes to be admitted to the college must be a graduate of a secondary level program recognized by the government or a transferee from another college.
2. The following cases are subject for refusal of admission/readmission: a. Transferees who failed to pass the screening and other requirements of the admission officer. b. A student of NDTC who was given an administrative sanction such as expulsion. c. A student of NDTC who is convicted of any legal case or found to be mentally incapable of going to school as duly certified by proper medical authorities.
Requirements for Admission
Freshmen a. High School Report Card (Form 138) b. Certificate of Good Moral Character c. Photocopy of Birth Certificate d. Six copies of 1 x 1 I.D. pictures e. One long size file folder f. Two long size Kraft envelop g. Copy of the Student Handbook h. Testing fee receipt i. Accomplished school I.D. application form
Transferees a. Honorable Dismissal / Transfer Credentials b. Certificate of Good Moral Character c. Copy of Transcript of Records for reference d. Photocopy of Birth Certificate e. Six copies of 1x1 I.D. pictures f. One long size file folder g. Two long size Kraft envelope h. Copy of the Student Handbook i. Testing fee receipt j. Accomplished school I.D. application form
Old Students / Returning Students a. Accomplished pre-evaluation form b. Previous School I.D. for validation c. Copy of the Student Handbook
Pre-Requisite Subjects
Pre-requisite subjects must be taken in their proper sequence as indicated in the curriculum.
Adding & Dropping of Subjects
1. Adding or dropping of subject is done on the scheduled dates set by the Registrar’s Office.
2. A student is allowed to drop or add a subject where such subject is cancelled due to inadequate number of enrollees or conflict of schedules. This is done upon guidance and approval of the College Dean.
Withdrawal from Enrolment
Withdrawal from enrolment without academic penalty will be allowed during enrolment
However, a student should follow the standard procedure. The clearance form required of those officially withdrawing from the college is obtained from the Registrar’s Office. This form is to be completed and to be accompanied by a letter from the parents or guardians indicating the reasons for withdrawal. If this procedure is not followed, no refund of any kind will be made and a student gets a grade of DROPPED for the unofficial dropping.
Cross Enrolment
1. In general, cross-enrolment is discouraged. However, the school allows cross-enrolment on the following conditions: a. A student is in his last semestral/summer term, b. The subject to be enrolled is not offered at NDTC, c. The schedule is in conflict with his other subjects. d. Not a major subject.
2. A student has to accomplish a Cross-enrolment Form at the Registrar’s Office.
