The Notre Dame of Tacurong College-High School Department has done it again; they have successfully and grandiosely celebrated SIKLAB with finesse and the Filipino spirit with this year’s theme, Encantadia.  Our story begins with four warrior princesses fighting for domination, with their kingdoms representing precious gems laced with powers determining their strengths.
Magic filled the asphalts of Tacurong as students marched and proclaimed the commencement of this year’s SIKLAB. NDTC itself was a center of all kinds of enchantment, the enchantment of love, unity and sportsmanship, seen in the different activities held in the occasion. Fireworks also filled the evening air, fascinating the yearning eyes of the crowd. Finally, we head towards the highlight of the said annual celebration; The Search for Mr. and Miss. SIKLAB 2016.
The pageant was an exemplary Filipino themed event, with models wearing Filipiñanas and Barongs. Fate crowned Matthew Jay Leona and Pia Gwyneth Pasok as the new faces of Mr. and Miss. SIKLAB 2016. SIKLAB 2016 made history, a history consisting new bonds, new experiences and priceless moments. In the end, we’ve concluded that every gem is special; each has their own roles in maintaining the balance of the world and altogether eradicating fear. See, that’s the thing about us Filipinos, fearlessness is not something we’re familiar with, fearlessness is something we’re made of. SIKLAB’S ensorcellment does not end here, it continues as the agimat of NDTCians for the years to come, who knows what spell and sorcery they’re going to come up with next year. One thing’s for sure though, this year’s SIKLAB was one of the finest events, yet.
