There are existing retention policies that particular academic programs are strictly following:

Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
Bachelor in Elementary Education and Bachelor in Secondary Education
Bachelor of Science in Nursing

 


Bachelor of Science in Accountancy

  1. Incoming second year students (before taking Financial Accounting I)
    • must have passed the Accountancy Qualifying Examination.
    • must have no grade below 83% in accounting subjects.
    • must have no grade below 80 in other subjects.
    • must have a general average of at least 85% (excluding PE/NSTP).
  2. Second, third and fourth year students
    • must have no grade below 83% in accounting, law and taxation subjects.
    • must have no grade below 80 in other subjects.
    • must have a general average of at least 85% (excluding PE/NSTP).
    • must have passed the Accountancy Comprehensive Examination (ACE) for the respective year level.

Bachelor in Elementary Education and Bachelor in Secondary Education

  1. To be admitted to the Second Year, a student must meet the following requirements:
    • Has obtained the final rating of at least 75% in all of his/her subjects. The final rating is a composite of 20% from the comprehensive examination and 80% from the subject grade.
    • Has taken the PATT (Philippine Aptitude Test for Teachers) and has obtained the standard score of 350.
    • Has attained at least a final rating of 75%, a composite of 80% GPA (General Point Average) and 20% PATT.
    • Has attained a grade of 80% if the student is enrolled in a professional/major subject.
  2. To be admitted to the Third Year/Fourth Year, a student must meet the following requirements:
    • Has obtained the final rating of at least 75% in all of his/her general education/content courses subjects. The final rating is a composite of 20% from the comprehensive examination and 80% from the subject grade.
    • Has a grade of at least 80% in each of the professional/major subjects. The final rating is a composite of 20% from the comprehensive examination and 80% from the subject grade.
    • Has attained at least a general point average of 78%.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing

  • A student is expected to maintain a WPA of 80% of all subjects of each semester.
  • A student shall be allowed to carry only the regular Semester load provided further that the student is not on a probationary status. However, academic load for graduating students must be guided by appropriate CHED issuances.
  • A student who fails in either of the Academics (lecture) or RLE (Related Learning Experience) component of any Nursing subjects in all levels (I, II, III, IV) will be made to repeat the said subject (both lecture and RLE) only once.
